The clocks have gone back and the nights are drawing in. It's really beginning to feel like winter. The threshold between life and death is ever-present in our gardens and in the celebrations of the Celtic festival of Samhain (in which Halloween has its roots). Like a shining light in the darkness, our 2025 Seed Catalogue is now live! We've been super-busy behind the scenes processing, cleaning, testing, printing and packeting all our varieties for the upcoming year, and have 38 new varieties to share with you, including flowers, vegetables and herbs. (There are a few things still being tested which will be online soon.) We hope this launch comes at the perfect time in the wheel of the year, as the ending of the harvest season invites you to reflect on the successes and challenges of your growing season, and our new varieties tantalise your taste buds for what you might want to add for the next. You can browse them by clicking below:
We still have our old favourites, don't worry! Replenish your stock from our existing range by clicking here:
We have also made a PDF file of the catalogue which you can download by clicking here. All the best and happy Samhain Chloe and the rest of the team P.S. We know it's only November but our Christmas gifts are also live! For the super-organised you can find old favourites like our 2025 Growing Through the Seasons calendar, seed collections, gift vouchers and a new product we are VERY excited about! ;) |

April is another fantastic time to fill up your propagation space and we thought we'd include our 'top crops to sow' for this month below. This list includes vegetables, salads and herbs but also some of our favourite half hardy...

It's easy to forget the importance that these first greens would have had in the diets of our ancestors - they were not just a relief from the less than fresh stored ingredients that had been sustaining them throughout the winter, but also...
It's March, the most exciting time of year for the enthusiastic seed sower. The light levels are returning, the soil is starting to come alive and the sun's warmth can be felt in glimpses between the showers. This month can be changeable however, so it's good to observe the climate in your local area and make sure the conditions are right. If you're starting to see weeds sprouting in your beds it's a sure sign that it's time to start. It's a busy month! There's a huge variety of things you...
